Tyler has set up a stand to sell lemonade. The lemonade mix originally cost

$3.00 per packet, but was on sale, leaving the price reduced by 10%. Tyler
chooses the price of the lemonade to be 20% higher than his cost. How much
does the lemonade sell for, per packet?

Answer:

$3.24

Explanation:

The $3 is reduced by 10%

10% of $3 is $0.30, so you minus $0.30 from $3.00

which gives you $2.70 (he bought it at $2.70)

now he wants to sell it by increasing the price from he bought be 20%

so, you have to find 20% of $2.70, which is $0.54

now add the 20% to the cost price

$2.70 + $0.54

=$3.24
