There are 14 coins.

3 of which are dimes

you would put it over 14: 3/14 and cross multiply it with x/100

then you would get 300 and 14x

Divide 300 by 14 approximately 21. 4%

Probability of nickel:

There are 14 coins.

same thing as the top one,

you put 4/14 and times it by x/100

you get 400 and 14x

divide 400 by 14

and get about 27.7%
