PLZ HELP! I RLLY NEED HELLP!!!

Question: Why is W a v e r l y upset with her mother? What generational conflict exists between them? Waverly is upset with her mother because she keeps bragging about her daughter. She feels as if her mother only wants her for her fame, talent, and publicity. The mother feels as if Waverly should be appreciative for bragging about her because that's probably how her mother felt when she was Waverly's age. Waverly wants her mother to brag about her other reasons instead of just bragging about her publicity. "If you want to show off, then why don't you learn to play chess?!". The built up anger is very obvious in Waverly's voice. She almost sounds heartbroken at the thought of her mother using her. Allies can be opponents, during arguments you are angry and/or frustrated at the person you are arguing with but you can still love them as well. You can be mad at someone and still remain friends/allies.
