Hopes this helps:
Answer: 3
1. Remove parentheses.
8 + 3 - 12 + 4
2. Simplify 8 + 3 to 11.
11 - 12 + 4
3. Simplify 11 - 12 = -1.
-1 + 4
4. Simplify.
