Explanation:

Central angle is given as = 50°

We should note that for a complete circle to be made, it needs 360∘. Therefore, this is 50/360 = 5/36 of the area of a sector.

Area of the sector = 5/36 × πr².

= 5/16 × π × 4²

= 5/36 × π × 16

= 80π/36

= 20π/9 cm²
