Explanation:

y = mx + b, m is the slope which we already, it is 2. B is the y-intercept, which we don't know. To find the y-intercept, you plug in the coordinates into the equation so far, which is y = 2x + b.

y = 2x + b

5 = 2(-3) + b

5 = -6 + b

11 = b

So our equation is y = 2x + 11
