A = 4 1/2 inches
B = 3 3/4 inches
C = 5 1/8 inches
How much cable did he use to make A and B was the question, right?
4 1/2 + 3 3/4
= 4 2/4 + 3 3/4
= 7 5/4
= 8 1/4 inches used to make A and B
