-2x + 8*(-2) + 6 = 7*x - 3*7

-2x - 16 +6 = 7x - 21 {add 2x to both sides}

-10 = 7x + 2x - 21

-10 = 9x - 21 {add 21 to both sides}

-10 + 21 = 9x

11 = 9x {divide both sides by 9)

11/9 = x
