explain how competition for biotic and abiotic factors, such as quantity of light water or food can affect the size of populations

Answer:

When there is a limited supply of water or food, organisms must compete for these resources in order to survive. Some will get to eat/drink but some others might not. As a result those organisms may die from lack of food/water, therefore decreasing the size of the population.
