Basically, for every 5 boys there is 3 girls. A simple way to solve this, but longer, yet the one I personally use count up, go 5*2 3*2 and find which one adds up to 64. Once you get to 64, total including the product of both, you will have the amount of boys and girls. In this case

3*8 = 24

5*8 = 40

There are 24 girls
