Given that :

Width of box, W = 5 inches

Width of marker to be stored in box = 1/2 inch

The number of 1/2 inch marker which can be stored in box is :

Width of box ÷ width of marker to be stored in box

5 inches ÷ 1/2 inches

5 / 0.5

= 10

Hence, Ten 1/2-inch width marker can be stored in the box
