Answer:

x = 12

Explanation:

Since the triangles are similar then the ratios of corresponding sides are equal, that is

(JL)/(PQ) =
(JK)/(PR) , substitute values

(x)/(36) =
(15)/(45) =
(1)/(3) ( cross- multiply )

3x = 36 ( divide both sides by 3 )

x = 12

Answer:

12

Explanation:

if their similar then find the proportion with a cross multiplication equation

x/36 = 13/39

x*39 = 36*13

39x = 468

x = 468/39

x = 12
