3/x +5/y = 1/4 …………….(1)

4/x. +6/y = 1/3.……………..(2)

Multiplying eqn. (1) by 6 and Eqn. (2) by 5.

18/x+30/y= 6/4……………….(3)

20/x+30/y= 5/3………………..(4)

Subtracting eqn. (4) from(3)

-2/x = -1/6 => x = 12

Putting x=12 in eqn.(1)

3/12 +5/y = 1/4.

or, 5/y = 1/4 - 1/4.

or, 5/y = 0 => y = infinite.

Thus , x =12 , y = infinite. Answer.
