How did Malcolm X's message change after his religious journey to Mecca?

Before Malcolm X went to Mecca, he only assumed people of color (who were not caucasian, were Muslims.

In Mecca, he saw Caucasians as Muslims, which shocked him, as he thought all Caucasians were racist.

This causes him to change his name, and leave the Nation of Islam.

This leads to his assassination by supposed members of the Nation of Islam.
