Given function is,


(f(x))/(g(x))=(x^2+2x-5)/(2x+2)

This function is not defined when the denominator is zero.

2x + 2 = 0

2x = -2

x = -1

Therefore, x = -1 is not in the domain of this function.

And the domain will be,

(-∞, -1)∪(-1, ∞)

For all values of x (except x = -1) we get some output values (value of
(f(x))/(g(x))).

Therefore, range of the function will be (-∞, ∞).
