What is the area of a rectangle whose length is (2x-1) cm and whose width is (X+2) cm?

Answer:

2x^2 + 3x - 2

Explanation:

=> area of rectangle = length*width

=> length = (2x -1)

=> width = (x + 2)

=> area = (2x - 1) (x + 2)

=> area= 2x(x + 2) - 1(x + 2)

=> area = 2x^2 + 4x - 1x - 2

=> area = 2x^2 + 3x - 2
