4. A map has a scale factor of 1 cm = 15 miles

How far apart are two towns on the map if they are 100 miles apart in real life?

Answer:

6.67 cm

Explanation:

since 1 cm is 15 miles we will divide 100 miles by 15 miles

100/15=6.67

now we will take out number and multiply it by the number of cm

6.67 x 1 = 6.67

so on the map they are 6.67 cm apart.
