Tyler orders a meal that costs $15.

A. if the tax rate is 6.6% how much will the sales tax in be on Tyler's meal?
B. Tyler also wants to leave a 20% tip for the server. How much do you think he should pay in all explain your reasoning.

Answer:

A) 99 cents

B) 3 dollars

Explanation:

15*0.066=$0.99

15*0.2=$3

(I didn't use post-tax total because most people tip on the pre-tax subtotal, since that is the service charge and they're tipping the service, not the tax).
