I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but if the environmental conditions change, it can be impacted. If it’s humid, for example, the reaction can be subdued and you can have a lower percent yield. (In this situation, a chemical not being stored too well could cause it to react a bit with some water in the air before the experiment)
