The problem is that you cannot be sure that either triangle (it actually requires both of them) contain a right angle

What you have so far is SSA which is not one of the fundamental congruency triangles. In order to be certain of congruency the angle must be made up of the 2 given sides. You are certain that SAS will produce congruency. You are not so sure of r SSA. There are proofs of this on the internet. I urge you to look into it. Though not long, following it step by step takes a lot of patience. A cup of strong coffee is a good idea.
