Polar bears are listed as a threatened species. There are about 25,000 polar bears in the world right now. If the number of polar bears declines by 1000 each year, how many years will it take the polar bears to become extinct? Write your equation and answer in the text box, and graph the line on the coordinate plane.

Answer: 25 years

Explanation: 25,000/1,000= 25

Your first plot would be at (0,25000) and the next plot would be plotted at (1,24000) and so on. The x will be 1 more than the last one, y will be 1,000 less than the last one.
