Note that:

  • Perimeter of parallelogram: 108 ft
  • 2(x/4 + 2x) = 108

Solve for x. Then find the measurements of PQ and QR.

  • 2(x/4 + 2x) = 108
  • => (x/2 + 4x) = 108
  • => (x/2 + 8x/2) = 108
  • => (9x/2) = 108
  • => 9x = 216
  • => x = 216/9 = 24
  • => PQ = x/4
  • => PQ = 24/4 = 6 feet
  • => QR = 2x
  • => QR = 2(24) = 48 feet
