A triangle has side lengths of 10 inches, 24 inches, and 28 inches. Is the triangle a right triangle? EXPLAIN why or why not.​

Answer:

It is NOT a right triangle.

Explanation:

You have to use the pythagoreom thereom, which is a^2+b^2=c^2. So when you plug in the numbers, you get 10^2+24^2=28^2. When you square them you get 100+576=784. When you add 100 and 576, you get 676. 676 is NOT equal to 784, so therefore, it is NOT a right triangle.
