Answer:

A) x² + 7x - 12 is NOT equivalent to the expression.

Explanation:

1) expand by distributing terms.

{x }^(2) - 3x + 4(x - 3)

2) Expand by distributing terms.

{x}^(2) - 3x + 4x - 12

3) Collect like terms.

{x}^(2) + ( - 3x + 4x) - 12

4) Simplify.

{x}^(2) + x - 12

The second equation are equivalent to the equation. but the first equation is not equivalent to the main equation.
