Copy the following expressions on your paper and simplify them by combining them. Using algebra tiles may be helpful.

10x + 4 - 3 + 8x + 2

Ok, first you will need to SUBTRACT 4-3, it is 1 (obviously) then you da 2 to the one to get da answer of 3, ok? Anyway, you then need to add da 8 and da 10 TOGETHER, to get da answer of 18x, so now you will have da sum of 18x + 3. I hope I help :)
