2. 0.1D + 0.25Q= 27.50 ( shows the total cost)

The best way to do this is by substitution

To get D by itself the first equation would turn into D= 140-Q

Plug 140-Q into the second equation where you see D and solve for Q

Once you solve it you should get Q=90 then to get D it would be 140-90 which gives you D=50.
