Answer:

An example of a logical fallacy would be Slippery slope, where Anthony makes the argument that the Preamble states that “We the people…” and not we the men of the United States. She talks about how because of this she did not commit a crime but instead used her right to legally vote.

Answer:

One logical fallacy Anthony uses is straw man, when she argues that she never committed a crime because the constitution doesn’t explicitly say that women are not included where it says “We the people.” She goes on to say that if women aren’t allowed to vote, they must not be people at all. While I agree with her point, I think that this could be a straw man fallacy because although the preamble theoretically should include women (she is right, it never specifies whether it means women or men), it was still the law that women weren’t allowed to vote. An unfair law, but a law. And saying that the constitution must mean that women aren’t people is a weaker version of what it actually says, so it is a straw man fallacy.
