You just learned that phase changes do not always happen in an expected way. If you were a professional scientist studying this situation, how would you go about investigating this phase change? What other questions would you ask?

Answer:

What I would do to understand more is understanding different ways that phase change happens. I would ask questions like, how does phase change happen in ways unexpected or what are different ways that phase change can occur.

Explanation:

Just ask your self questions about things that contribute to phase change that you don't already now about the topic. Until you now everything you want to know. And also some ways to talk about how phase change can be unexpected is ways you would think a middle school kid would not expect a way how phase change can occur. Hope this helps!
