I believe the answer is B because when you look at the scatter plots you can see that one goes down in a pretty straight line while the other goes down in a curved line. A straight line generally straigth line means it is linear while a cureved line means non-liner.

Why is it not assosiation?

Assosication has to do with if the scatterplot has a lina at all. If it has weak association then there would be dots everywhere. Both linear and non-linear lines are asscocaited.

Why is is not neagative or non-negative assoctiation?

Simple if the line is going up it is positve.

If the line goes down it is negative.
