Bryant and Milam murdered Till because Bryant’s wife had told him that she had been whistled at on the street (which did not happen), the crime was obviously racially motivated.The treatment of Till shows the lack of law and justice when it came to crimes against POC and hate crimes in the south at the time, anarchy among the people of Mississippi and the mistreatment of African Americans to the point of even children
