Answer: Loss, 200 Rs

Explanation:

Given

Sharad bought a quintal of onion i.e.
1000\ kg for
Rs.\ 2000

So, the cost price of onion is

\Rightarrow (2000)/(100)=20\ \text{Rs per kg}

He sells it at
18\ \text{Rs. per kg}

Here, the Selling price is less than the cost price

So, he incurs a loss of
2\ \text{Rs per kg}

For a quintal it is

\Rightarrow 2* 100=200\ \text{Rs}

\Rightarrow \text{Loss }\ \%=(C.P.-S.P.)/(C.P.)* 100\\\\\Rightarrow \text{Loss }\ \%=(20-18)/(20)* 100=10\%
