kate has a piece of ribbon one metre long. she cuts off 30 centimetres. how many centimetres of ribbon solve it​

Answer:

There are 100 cm in 1 m.

So with that, if you put 4.5 m in cm you get 450 cm of ribbon.

Then divide 450 by 4.5 to see how many times you can take out 4.5 cm from the amount you have.

450/4.5 = 100

So you can get 100 pices of ribbon each 4.5 cm

from 4.5 m of ribbon

70 centimeters.

1 meter = 100 centimeters

--> 100-30=70 centimeters.
