biotic is relating to or resulting from living things, especially in their ecological relations.
abiotic is physical rather than biological; not derived from living organisms.
so basically biotic is living and abiotic is not living :)

Abiotic components are non-living chemical and physical factors in the environment which affect ecosystems. Biotic describes a living component of an ecosystem; for example organisms, such as plants and animals.
