Hey there, so it looks to me that you just have to subsitute 2 in for x, and solve the equation. Like this.

1. Plug in X: 3(2)^2 -2(2) + 1

2. Solve exponents (2)^2 = 4, so the equation is 3(4) - 2(2) + 1

3. Multiplication: 3 × 4 = 12, and -2 × 2 = -4, so the equation is 12 - 4 + 1

4. Addition: -4 + 1 = -3, so it is now 12-3

5. Subtraction: 12-3 = 9, so the answer is 9!

sub 2 for any "x"

3(2)^2-2(2)+1

6^2-4+1 i dont know if you need to simplify even more but if you do

36-4+1 32+1 31
