A storage shed is a rectangular prism and has dimensions of 6 meters by 5 meters by 12 meters. If Jean were to double these dimensions, she believes she would only double the volume. Is she correct? Answer:

well lets double check

5 x 6 x 12 = 360 doubled would be 720

now lets double the dimensions

5 x 2 = 10, 6 x 2 = 12 12 x 2 = 24

10 x 12 x 24 = 2880

The answer is no, if you double the dimensions it doesn't mean your actual volume is doubled from the regular dimensions.
