What is the volume of a square pyramid with a base edge of 14 m and a slant height of 25 m

Answer:

length of base(l) = 14m

slant height (s)=25m

we know,

slant height(s)=√(l/2)^2 + h^2

or, 25= √(14/2)^2+ h^2

or, 25 = √49+h^2

or, 25^2 = 49+h^2

or, 625 = 49 + h^2

or, 625-49=h^2

or, √576 =h

h=24

Therefore vertical height (h)= 24m

Again,

Volume of square pyramid (v) = 1/3 L^2h

or, v =( 1/3) 14^2×24

or, v= 4704 / 3

Therefore, V= 1568 cubic meter.
