K = 2

Explanation:

Rewriting the expression mathematically;

√(k+2)=2√(k-1)

square both sides

k+2=4(k-1)

k+2=4k-4

Collect like terms

2+4=4k-k

6=3k

Dibaide both sides by 3

3k/3 = 6/3

k = 2
