Were the westerns for or against slavery?

The West did have slavery, but it was completely ended in 1865 by the 13th Amendment to the U.S Constitution, which outlawed slavery. The West had the Westward Expansion in present day Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Utah. In short, yes, Westerns were for slavery. I’m not sure if this was what you needed, but I hope it helps!

Slavery was never established in any of the far western states on a large scale. California had more slaves than any of the other far western regions, but even there slavery existed for only a brief period.
