C) end Q attracts both X and Y

Reason: The metal bar PQ is magnetized and has magnetic properties in it, that's I why the point Q is pointing towards the north. The XY bar doesnt point towards any specific direction because it isn't magnetized and doesn't have magnetic properties in it, and that's why it gets attracted by Q and it's both ends.
