Explanation:

7 + 3x - 1 = w(x + 2)

Solve for w

Distribute

7 + 3x - 1 = wx + 2w

Combine like terms

3x+6 = wx+2w

For this to have infinite terms

3x = wx and 6 = 2w

3x = wx

Divide by x

3 =w

and 6 = 2w

Divide by 2

6/2 = 2w/2

3 =w

When w = 3, there will be infinitely many solutions
