Finding the bottom area:

12 + 2 = 14 x 2 = 28

Triangle Area: 4 + 2 = 6 x 4 = 24 divided by 2 is 12

Top left figure area is:

2 x 8 = 16

Add all of it together: 28 + 12 + 16 = 56
