An understanding of health-related fitness components that include muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, and body composition, has helped me to appreciate the positive effect targeted exercises can have on my daily living. I can become more efficient and work smarter if I train my body to attain these fitness goals. For example, flexibility, which increases and improves the body's movement around joints can help me to easily engage in activities that require stretching and twisting with minimal pains.

Understanding my body's composition, especially as it pertains to fat content will instill in me the consciousness to evaluate my feeding and fitness activities. Building muscle mass is more beneficial than accumulating a lot of fat as this will slow aging and make me less susceptible to diseases.
