There are 44 learners in Mary's class. The ratio of the number of girls to

number of boys is 5:6. How many boys are in Mary's class?​

Count the ratio’s together
5+6=11
Divide 44 by the total
44/11 =4
Then go back to your original ratio’s and multiply it by the divided learners
5x4=20 (girls)
6x4=24 (boys)
There are 24 boys in Mary’s class
