How to determine work done by an object.

Work done is the measure of energy transferred when a force acts on an object, causing a displacement in the direction of the force.

From the force vs position graph given

At position 10 m away from the origin, the magnitude of force applied is 10N.

Work done = force x distance moved by the force.

Since

F = 10 N

d = 10 m

Workdone W is

W = F x d

substitute

W = 10 x 10

= 100 Nm

The work done as the object moves from 0 to 10 m is 100 Nm

Work done = force x distance.

The force is 10N the distance is 10m

Work done = 10 N x 10m = 100 NM = 100 Joules
