Help. I am trying to solve these questions in math called ‘Two Step Equations’. I need answers

1. -3 x - 5 = 16

2. -4(y-2) = 12

(don’t put links. Or i’ll report you)

1. x = -7
2. y = -1

For number 1:

Plus five both side of the equation and you get -3x = 21

Divide -3 both side and you get x = -7

For number 2:

Multiply -4 by y and -2 .... you get -4y + 8 = 12

Minus 8 side of the equation and you get -4y = 4

Divide by -4 both sides and you get y = -1
