Answer:

Hello John!

I hope you are doing well. Today I learned about education and how it has changed throughout the years. As you love history, I think that you would enjoy learning about it.

Did you know that teachers used to apply physical punishment towards their students? They used to smack the students' hands with a ruler or made them kneel in corn. The students were punished because of misbehavior or because they did not remember the lesson. Also, they have to learn by heart instead of understanding things.

In the present, we learn with loving teachers that know how our mind works and use different strategies in class to teach us. If we do not remember, teachers help us or give us a fail mark, but they do not punish us physically. They make the process joyful and do not humiliate us when we fail or misbehave. Also, we learn by reasoning, which is the opposite of memorizing.

I have to go now, but I hope that you find this information interesting. I am looking forward to hearing from you and your thoughts about the evolution in education.

Best wishes!

Connell.

Step-by-step explanation:

In this letter, we describe education in the past and how it has changed. In the first paragraph, we greet the reader and introduce the topic. Then the following sections are about education in the past and the present. We explain different aspects of it, such as learning strategies, things that teachers did, what teachers do now, etc. In the final paragraph, we say our goodbyes and tell the person to write us back. Also, we can make a general comment about the topic.
