Plant 1 started at a height of 10 inches and grew 10 inches per week. Plant 2 started at a
height of 18 inches and grew 8 inches per week. Ethan wants to predict the number of weeks
it will take for the plants to reach the same height.
Ethan concludes that the plants will reach the same height after 50 weeks. Is Ethan correct?
Explain why or why not.

Answer: No he is not correct

Explanation:

plant 1 will be taller than plant 2 at 50 weeks

do 50 times 10 = 500in

do 50 times 8 = 400in

10 x 50 = 500

500 + 10 = 510

510 represents plant 1 height after 50 weeks

8 x 50 = 400
