Getting to know someone can be hard. Sometimes it takes courage to ask or say certain things.

Getting to know someone is like getting to learn about something new. Always start off by asking name, age or etc. Do not get too deep because it can get too personal and a lot of people are insecure about certain things. Also it really depends on why you want to get to know someone maybe it can be for a relationship or etc. It isn't easy nor is it hard. Being self centered or TOO relatable can lead to getting off the topic of "getting to know someone", always try and stick to what they are saying and etc. Don't be too harsh or rude it can make people think otherwise or even lose confidence in themselves. Always think about what can possibly happen if getting to know someone this well what can happen in the future or how it will affect you. Always have a positive start don't be negative. Try not making the situation too serious that may lead to boredom for the person or even yourself, making you lose interest in getting to know them.

It is all a process but at the end sometimes it's worth it.

(This is probably really bad but I'm just giving you ideas)

Answer:

when writing an essay on getting to know someone, make sure to include the introductory phase - when you first see them.

1) small talk.

we all start somewhere in our lives when meeting new strangers who'll become our life long soulmates or best friends.

how does this all happen you may ask?

firstly, it all starts with the small talk conversations:

these small talk conversations can range from music likes to intrusive thoughts really. it depends on how broad your spectrum for getting to know someone starts off with.

1) ask them about their day. anything exciting happen to them? what about their peers, how are they?

2) start off with something that's universal in the sense that anyone can relate to i.e. music.

ask them about their music tastes. what's their all time favourite artist(s)? what about a band? if they have similar tastes to you, then you just might have started something!

3) ask them about their life. how's everything going for them right now? ask them if they're okay? you know, these few questions about their life really do start off the basis of some strong friendships/relationships depending on how you view it.

getting to know someone is hard at first but over time you'll be able to succeed in it.

one major factor is to NOT TALK ABOUT YOURSELF ALL THE TIME.

self-centering the whole conversation over to you is discourteous. what a pity that is.

whatever you do, make sure to not center it around yourself. remember you want to get to know the person right?
