The answer to the equation is Y or X.

2(2x + 3y) = 4x + 6y

Distrubitive property would be used on the right

4x + 6y = 4x + 6y

So, you could either subtractive 4x from both sides or 6x from both sides and be left with either one.

so your answer would be X or It could be Y.
