The equation given is in point slope form. Put it in slope intercept form.

y-2=(1/2)(x+5), Distribute the 1/2

y-2=x/2+5/2, now add over 2

We get, y=x/2+9/2

Now graph (refer to the photo attached). Where the slope is positive 1/2(rise of 1, run of 2) and the y-intercept is 9/2.
